Source Metrics is an experiment on producing software metrics and contributor data for Free, Libre and Open Source Software in a collaborative fashion. The goal is to foster co-operation between projects by characterizing implementations and by making it easier to find relevant developers. The site implementation and the collected data is made freely available to let everyone contribute and use the results.

Source Metrics Not Being Updated Lately

Hello all visitors. As some of you might have noticed there has not been many updates lately. This is because I have been very busy with my daily work and I am also planning on starting a new business. During summer I was able to put quite a lot of time on Source Metrics development (and content, adding almost 200 projects myself and reviewing tens of thousands of proper names) but at the moment I am very short on spare time.

Source Metrics Running on Drupal

The Source Metrics site is now running on Drupal. It is easier to submit projects and releases for analysis and more importantly it is now possible to post user comments and to efficiently search content. Information made available about analyzed projects and releases is basically the same as before but the presentation has changed somewhat. Metrics data is being presented in a form that makes it possible to quickly see relative magnitude of the projects and releases together with detected content types.
